live like mary

Mary Wilk was a friend of mine who passed away in the summer of 2016. She was doing exactly what she loved, and in her passing, the phrase "Live Like Mary" came to be as a way to say, "live your life as full as you possibly can, and enjoy every minute of it." She embodied the words strength, persistence, and passion. This mural is a piece that I designed and painted (with the help of others) in memory of her. Afterwords, I illustrated the image to print for posters.

Mary, oh Mary,

the words are hard to find,

and the world without you's scary,

as you brought us peace of mind.

We knew life with you would be ok,

as your sunshine was always true,

and our happy was here to stay,

if we could only live like you.
